Eliminating Gender and Sexual Discrimination

Gender and sexuality discrimination are some of the common forms of discrimination existing. People should not have to suffer discrimination based in their gender or their choice of sexuality. To ensure we fight this discrimination, there must a collaborative approach that deals with notions of discrimination and also upholds the initiatives that foster talks on sexualities. Discrimination will tear a society apart if not checked. Everyone has the fundamental rights to exist irrespective of their sexual choices or their gender. Therefore, it is necessary to tackle the existing notions of discrimination in this regard. The society should be a safe space for everyone. Once this becomes threatened, we are putting the lives of some at risks because of their gender and sexuality. This only slows down developments and hinders the potentials of individuals.

Sexual and Reproductive Health

Young people have been championing the cause of providing health solutions and assistance to those in need. This buttresses the importance of young people across varying conversations including sexual and reproductive health. Young people have what it takes, and they are forward-thinking. This influences how they approach situations and offer relevant solutions. Young people have been providing solutions to help teenagers getting pregnant. There is a high rate of teenage pregnancy, which is an issue deserving of attention. Reports have found that several young people that have sex do not make use of condom during the act. This accounts for one of the reasons for increased teenage pregnancy. Young people face many barriers when it comes to accessing what they need to have safe sex, such as cost and embarrassment, among others. This necessitates the need for a change in the way we approach sexual and reproductive health discussions. There is a need to foster a more captive society where these discussions can hold freely without fear and embarrassment. When young people can freely talk about their sexual experiences and ask questions on sex, they can make better decisions with regard to sex. Reports find that rural and regional communities have more young people facing the problem of poor and inconsistent sexual and reproductive health talks. There is a pressing need for all stakeholders to play their roles in fostering positive sexual talks and sexual wellbeing. The attitude and approaches do not allow sex talks or are inconsistent merely create further complications for the communities at large. Young people have lives to live, and it is essential that their voices are listened to so we can develop solutions that contemplate their sexual health crisis. This is how to build a progressive society. Young people that experience teenage pregnancy often face difficulty in getting adequate care and support without stigmatisation. We need to move beyond these notions and get more responsive about the sexual health of young people. These discussions must be had for us to limit the amount of sexual health crisis we face.

Creating Initiatives for The Mental Health of LGBTIQA+

Discrimination is unhealthy for anyone. Whether based on gender or sexuality, discrimination can cause trauma and create terrible memories for the oppressed. This makes it essential to protect queer young people and make provisions for the adequate representations of their interests. We offer initiatives designed to support the members of the LGBTIQA+, especially with regard to their mental welfare. It is essential that everyone is in great mental health space. Our initiatives and grants are aimed at supporting programs that strengthen and help queer people get the support they need. With our programs, we are gradually able to tackle conventional notions on queerness and replace it with more refined ones that change the attitude of communities to queer people. We are also focused on increased access to health services for the members of the LGBTIQA+. Our focus is also on queer people in rural communities, who find it hard to navigate. By doing these, we are able to help improve their lives and the quality of their livelihoods.

Unfair Treatment and Discrimination

Unfair treatment and discrimination are prevalent. In a survey carried out discrimination, majority of the participants stated that they had experienced discrimination based on their gender or sexual identity. The discrimination spread across all places, including school, work, or when searching for accommodation. This indicates that young people still face discrimination across various places they turn on the grounds of sexual orientation or their gender. This hinders the enjoyment of their rights, and some may have to shrink themselves to prevent discrimination.

Should There Be A Federal Law?

There is a need for protection of those who suffer discrimination. If this requires federal legislation to demonstrate the importance, then yes. The essential thing is that discrimination must be prohibited and those who suffer the discrimination must be adequately protected. Asides from this, there should also be a broad campaign that seeks to re-educate the orientations of people.
